Open back clawhammer banjos made in the USA. Thanks to everyone who stopped by the Florida Banjo booth at the Old Time Fiddlers' Convention at Galax. It was a fun week and I really enjoyed meeting and playing with all of you. I've put some some photos and sound clips from Galax farther down this page. Congratulations to Alan Rutherford and Chris Testerman and The Cabin Creek Boys old time band out of White Top, Virginia. The band took 2nd place at Galax this year and Alan placed 2nd in Old Time Banjo. Chris took 6th place in Old Time Fiddle. Alan plays a Florida Banjo. His instrument is a Maple Workingman's Banjo with rolled brass tone ring and a curly maple neck with abalone inlay. Let us make one for you, too!!!
